Bishops Cannings is a small village of only 1,500 inhabitants, in the Vale of Pewsey, Wiltshire, two and a half miles north east of Devizes. The Kennet and Avon Canal, with its famous swing bridge, is close to the village. The Crown Inn is a popular local inn, located next to St. Mary’s Church.
